Simona Fusco Stratten

Biography

Simona Fusco Stratten was born in Milan, Italy in 1978, and spent her formative years in Vienna. She claims that, as a child, she didn't yearn to model, but she did it anyway, starting at age 10. Five years later, director Oliver Stone wanted to cast her in a film version of Lolita, but Simona Fusco Stratten's mother shunned the idea, saying she didn't approve of her playing the title character. Although Simona Fusco Stratten's modeling career was still in a healthy place, her near-casting in Lolita got her interested in acting and she eventually moved to California. It didn't take long for Hollywood to notice her, especially on a personal level. Longtime producer Jay Bernstein took an interest in her and in 1998, they had a daughter and were engaged, but the marriage didn't follow and Bernstein later passed away. Simona Fusco Stratten chose to focus her efforts on developing her Hollywood career.
